There are different types of mechanics but i'm going to talk about some of the ones that I think would be the most fun.
Aircraft mechanics are charged with keeping aircraft's of all sizes in good working condition. They are required to complete inspections in order with the Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Also perform scheduled maintenance checks and repairs on the aircraft. These mechanics get paid about $53,420 per annum.
Automotive mechanics inspect and repair vehicles which run on gas, electricity or ethanol. Part of the work involves performing maintenance, including tire rotations and oil changes. These mechaincs also give diagnostic tests. These mechanics get paid about $35,790 yearly.
Diesel mechanics perform maintenance and repairs on heavy transportation and construction equipment, such as cranes, road graders and bulldozers, as well as farm machinery. These mechanics get paid about $40,850 yearly.
Motorcycle mechanics work on choppers, dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles and cruisers. They may also repair snowmobiles and jet skis. These mechanics get paid about $29,973 per annum.
Electrical mechanics focus on testing, repairing and rebuilding motors, heaters, generators, electric wiring systems and controllers. These mechanics get paid about $40,000 yearly.
